Multi session DVDs question
I'm having troubles burning multi session DVDs using 10.3.3 and Disk Utility on a retail Pioneer DVR-106D.
To create multisession CDs using a CD-RW media, I do the following
- Create new disk image from folder using Disk Utility.
- Select the new disk image and click on burn, ensuring that I have the option to leave it appendable
- Create another disk image with more files
- Select this other disk image and click on burn, again with the appendable option
This can be repeated as many times as I like, though I hardly ever go above three or four times per disc.
To do the same thing on a DVD (I tried both DVD-RW and DVD+RW), I use exactly the same steps. But when I try to burn a second session, the option to "erase before writing" is always on and greyed out, so I can't deselect it.
So, how do I burn multisession DVDs? I don't want to buy Toast to do just the occasional burn. Thanks.
