Are there any Firewire Postscript LaserPrinters?

I highly doubt it and I'm wondering why manufacturers are using USB with it's slow transfer rate (USB2 should be faster).

Postscript also seem to be a dying feature on many lasers and the adoption of a fast high speed interface such as Firewire just isn't happening.

Why not consider those using ethernet?

Firewire just seems to be for what it's for. Even Firewire webcams aren't very popular, though 640x480 is definitely what I'd call minimum for reasonable video-conferencing.

I'd guess that it isn't quite common enough on PCs, so only uses that really require the speed and justify an add-on card will be popular. People get by printing on USB.

Yeah, that's what I'll end up doing. But it just involves a bit more hardware and connections.

With a high speed connection via ethernet, that means getting a hub. My old HP4MP also needs a Jetdirect or AsanteTalk to connect to that hub.

You see what I mean. A simple fast Firewire connection would be great.
