TDS Metrocom DSL questions
Hi,
I'm planning on picking up DSL in the next 6 months & need a little info from
anyone that has TDS Metrocom DSL already. Their website mentions that
their 24 month plan is:
384K Internet Service $25.00
768K Internet Service $35.00
1M Internet Service $45.00
+ They don't cap their upload speed.
In order to get this do I also have to transfer my cell & local line over as
well? Currently I'm going through Cingular for my home & cell lines.
I'm planning to also pick up a powerbook in the next 6 months. Does TDS
Metrocom have local dial-up numbers so I can get online at a relatives
house or when I'm on vacation? And if yes, is that a separate charge?
I'm interested in using DSL for online gaming through my Xbox & PS2. Do
you know if this is included with the above pricing or is that a separate
charge as well?
Has anyone had any problems using iSight with TDS Metrocom DSL? I
read that iSight needs 128kb upload minimum which shouldn't be a
problem?

TDS Metrocomm is hte EVIL ONES!!!!
i hated them. took them 9 months to get me my DSL (although this was two years ago).
i've hated them ever since.
but maybe now they're good.....
