My day was not brilliant, but at the light of yours, much better.

My problem was minor : build a golf team. Impossible to do one. I just scratched the team. I am astonished by the lack of team spirit of my golf club.

I expect that you will meet better days Artman.

Hey. I will get my $300.00. I made some great tuna salad. T-REX definately rocks. Thank God for Playstation. I did hear the crumbling of this terrifying administration start...things can only get better...?

    Oh yeah?!?

I was supposed to go on a date with this girl, and than she got mad at me when she didn't show up!

    WTF?

I'm not really sure what happened for the rest of the day though, it's all kind of a blur.

Like last night, I decided I wanted a cookie around 1am Chicago time, no cookies in my house. I go over to my friend's house and start looking for cookies there, than I don't remember what happened, but I think I fell asleep on her couch, cause that's where I was when I came to three hours later, and wicked tired than. So I went home and went to sleep.

Keep in mind, that wasn't alcohol induced either, I don't drink.

Not really sure if that has anything to do with how my day was, but I decided to share anyway.

    Dude, that's because you're 18.

Anyway, I spent the day analyzing spectrograms of speech signals, and then designing digital filters to get noise out. I am so cool. Earlier in the week, I spent a few days writing PIC18 assembly in order to spoof a manchester serial device.

I'm a ranger with a life of danger.

    Darn tootin.

Artman, you should've done what I did: when the client told me "I won't be around to give you your check at ___ o'clock." I said, "write the check and leave it with your administrator... I'll pick it up when I'm ready." Then I went to the rink and joined 11 other guys for some rat-bastard hockey. Good skaters, short shifts, ... even had a goalie.

Topped the night off with poppers and pizza, although I will say the PPV movie we bought absolutely SUCKED. If any of you have never seen Cold Creek Manor, but had planned to... DON'T. It is nothing like the previews, which makes it seem like a sort of haunted house type of thing.

Just an incredibly stupid family who lack all common sense, accosted by some homicidal redneck who is all messed up because his Daddy didn't love him. The movie is HORRENDOUS. Just say no.

Well my Friday was pretty good considering...

It was a short week. I know this sounds like a good thing, but as an elementary school teacher it isn't because everything comes nice one week chunks. Now the next TWO weeks are state testing for 70-90 minutes a day. That made this week even odder because we had an assembly to tell the kids they were getting prizes for coming to testing on time each day. (erasers, pencils, things of that nature)

In both a blessing/curse my kids seem to cruise through some of their work WAAAYYY..to fast today. This is such a good bunch. I've had most of them for two years, so they are great about my classroom management. However 30 problems of rather hard multiplication problems should take the upper third of them a minimum of 30 minutes and I've got kids coming back in 20 with a finished, checked and corrected paper. The last, and most annoying thing is that Mother's Day is coming up and I really don't do holidays in my classroom. So I spend the last hour letting the kids make cards of their own choosing from materials of their own choosing.

Come home, mommy is very tired so I take our son to swim practice. I'm happy because it is clear he is having a blast. He's only 4, so he basically uses a kickboard and practices going back and forth with it for his second swim meet which is today. They can't officially race until they are six, but a couple years of practice won't hurt.

Come home, eat a great dinner and watch a movie with the wife. I picked Texas Chainsaw so I got some horrorific hugs. Then cuddled and went to bed.

Friday wasn't too bad for me.

Yeah I know about getting checks from clients. Like the last one I got, which just happened to be for 300 bucks as well, it took me two weeks to get the check, and then today I read in the paper that the company has donated $50,000 to the local historical society for a museum. I guess dead people are more important than those that are living.

You need to include the option of a late charge in your billing. Works well for rents as well.
