I can't imagine why it wouldn't. I use one for my 15" and the weight difference isn't that much, and the width is only an inch or two.

I wondered all this too, before I bought my iCurve, but it's perfect. These little non-skid pads are built directly into the "arms" (where the laptop sits) and I can't MAKE my PowerBook slide, if I wanted to! It feels totally secure and safe and after about half a day of owning one, I never gave it any more thought. That was back in February.

And the package DOES come with little adhesive rubber pieces that you can put on the ends of the "arms", making a nice little stop-block, to further ensure that the thing would never slide off.

I know you asked about the 17", but it ain't THAT much different than the 15" (a pound and an inch or so) and I'm nothing but happy with my iCurve.

I recommend that and an external keyboard/mouse set-up to ANYONE using an iBook or PowerBook as their sole, full-time computer. I went 5 months, simply using the PowerBook stock/as-is, and damn near killed my shoulders, neck, etc. Reaching up to type, craning my head down to see the screen, sitting all hunched up and leaning forward, etc. Ugh!

Now my screen is at perfect eye-level and I use an external Apple keyboard and Bluetooth mouse and it's the best of both worlds: desktop comfort/ergonomics and laptop portability when it needs to be.

Get one. Or look around the Internet for people using the 17". Or, better yet, e-mail Griffin and ask them directly. I would. And I'm sure they'd say "go for it...it works just fine".

It's not a flimsy, cheesy product.

This is why Google is neat.

    Typed in "iCurve" and "17""...
