For me, it's less than an hour, but I post a lot in the short time I'm here. I spend maybe an hour and a half at the computer on a daily basis. More if I'm working on a paper, or a big video editing project. I can usually find better ways to spend my time than sitting in front of a computer. So I usually don't, unless I need to.
And speaking of better things to do...off to study up for a final tomorrow night.

btw, who has a decent emoticon which indicates "puzzled"?
Depends on how much work I have to do. My time spent posting and browsing AppleInsider tends to increase with the amount of work due the next day. So sometimes I might spend 12 hours, while other times I might go a few days without posting or browsing. Hell-- I took the entire summer off last year-- coming back only to post in that deliciously controversial "My Body, My Choice-- for men too" thread. Good times.
I could never manage to spend an entire day doing this. I get bored easily by the noobs who post once or twice and never come back. They always ask the same general crap over and over again. Seriously, i would bet more than half the members here have only posted a couple times or haven't posted at all. What's up with that?\
I'm sorry, i didn't want to offend you by no means, believe me. It is just my nature to confuse things a bit. At the very same time i answered your post, it would have been pretty much handy to just have an emoticon, but for a completely different purpose.
So, i gave your post a slight humble laugh, and at the same time i was looking for a different thing for a different purpose.
You see, at least two different things, which are not neccesarily connected, hm... puzzled myself. I love being puzzled.
btw, I enjoyed every glowing sentence of your writing. Generally, for me it is just fun to hear about motivation why people spend a huge amount of their time browseing through AI. Particularily, i guess people almost always prefer some rationality over insanity, no?
That doesn't mean browseing through AI 24/7 is considered as insane, not by me Well, now, do you consider me as someone who's got a habit?

What exactly is puzzling about what I said?
If you don't mind my asking.
Now I'm the one who's puzzled...

Me too
It depends how long I'm on AI each day, though it varies from 15 min to 2 hours, maybe even more.
