    You bet.

I added a billet aluminum shifter knob, 17" wheels, cat back with a modified diverter valve for the turbo, stainless steel pipes and head crushing sub.

Next paycheck I plan to get her chipped and slammed, add a carbon fiber boser hood, oversized rotors and a ground effects kit.

Hey that's as good a direction as any.

I was thinking 60's era ford galaxie with wire wheels, hydraulics, and shag carpetting.

    Cool, nes pas?

    On that note. . .

Pettit intake, Pettit CCII intercooler, racing downpipe, PowerFC engine controller, ProfecB turbo controller, fluidyne radiator, ported engine, stock turbos, higher flow catback, various other mods for reliability, various suspension mods.

~310 rwhp on stock boost, 2900lbs with driver and a full tank of gas.

    Wait a sec, this isn't RX7forum.com. . .

I've been toying with the idea of picking up an 86+ Fiero GT (or making a non-86 GT look like a GT). Now, I'm from the motor city and I have V-8 juice running through my veins so I was thinking a 350 mated to a GetRag 5 speed, along with a full suspension upgrade would be nice.

If not that then maybe a VW type II fastback. Pull the cheesy Solex carb and stick a multipoint EFI with a Garrett-T3 for a kick in the pants. I've been designing an EFI system similar to the Megasquirt and I've managed to fire up a 2.2L chrysler... I know its not a V-8, but c'mon its a classic V-dub.

I've been on this odd car kick as of late.

We have a coupl'a car hobbyists. That's cool.

Anyway, when I move to Florida, I'm thinking about picking up a motorcycle. Then I'll be a complete ricer. . . . \ Apparently a few of you are into the detroit thing. . . Can any of you tell me the year the fuel crisis hit? I know a lot of american cars kinda lost their souls at that point, but thenagain, what they lost in soul they gained in fuel economy and general environmental respect. I am interested in cars that qualify as antiques (25 years old) for insurance and licensing reasons, and generally speaking I like the whole boat-like convertible thing.

Of course, '79 was the first model year for the RX-7. But most of those cars didn't stand the test of time. . .

I have a 2000 R6... Its my favorite vehicle in my menagerie. Copious amounts of head work, a set of racing cams, 30/1000 milled off the deck... Fast, very fast.

My libido is telling me to get an R1, my sense tells me an R6 is already too much and more. Used jap bike prices rock, though you never really know how badly it's been treated.

I could do some nice work to a R1. Nickle plated frame, wheels, subtle carbon fibre bodywork changes. A deep electric blue paint job.

It's actually quite a sexy piece...

Now if I had absolutely no sense, I'd get a duck 999, yummm...

I was thinking of picking up a 68 'stang for a total modern redo, with killer suspension and a 10 grand plus motor, probably a 302. Tricked out digital interior and some huge billet rims with really skinny rubber. And it has to be black.

    That'll do.

Edit: I have been eyeing up an awesome turbo unit that would look real nice under the hood.

I also would give it a modern GT look.

I have a Shark-Skinz 2 piece with a single rider tail. I painted the frame black, and the body art is mostly orange (I used the same orange as that found on 94 Mustangs), with a little white outlined with a deep blue. Wheels are still bIack. I got the R6 because I LOVE the handeling on the 600cc bikes.

My R6 puts almost 115Hp down so it shocks the bajesus out of the R1 and GX'er crowds when I keep up with them.

Hey, I just saw a Kelly Rowland/Nelly video. There's a blue, I think, Chevelle with some huge chrome rims on it. Looks good. A lot of muscle cars look really good with larger rims and a proper attitude adjustment.

I stumbled across this the other day in my quest for a non-conventional build up.

You bet. I think you can get just about any car a facelift with just some nice bug rims.

A freind of mine has a mod shop and has some software that you can put any rim on any car and you would be surprised at what looks good on some cars.

Ricers are a little weird. The rims just reach a comical proportion, rub fenders, run all sorts of idiotic toe-out, where the idiots who run 'em have to remove every last trace of suspension travel to avoid them rubbing over your average expansion joint. But that old 50-70 iron often sports giant wheel arches that have no trouble sporting both a lowering (on modern springs and absorbers) AND some BIG rims. Plus the cars are that much larger, which lets the wheel to car proportion look right with a 18-20" rim.

What is a good website to learn about mods and to look at the different options out there?

LOL I thought it was a photocrop at first. There is a limit, and IMO that car crossed said limit.

    1) Find a car you like

    2) Find the online forum for that car

    3) there is no step 3

I am really into RX-7s. It's a very enthusiast-friendly car. The rotary community is very much like the mac community. Plus, they look great even after all these years, and have wicked little 1.3L twin rotor engines.

About the only 1.3L car engine out there that makes more hp than a busa engine.
