Ive bought a , non-apple memory module, of 512 ddr for my iBook g4 800 12''.

But it says that the total RAM is: 384 (128 + 256 ).

Ive made a Apple hardware test and it says that all OK. But it says that the ram is 384

What happens ?

The module is: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...144-806&depa=0

Exactly, that, new, with his sticks...

Thanks

i've seen this happen when a stick of RAM isn't high enough quality. the machine will still use it, but cut the total amount in half.

return it and tell them it's defective, have them send you another one.
