how do you update iTunes playlist in 2 computers

I have an external USB hard drive that has all my mp3s. I use a G4 at work and a G5 at home. I use the drive with me at work and at home. Now my problem is if I were to rip a CD at home it adds it fine in the playlist at home. But if I were to take that drive and go to work, that playlist will not contain the new songs I just ripped. How can I update that playlist without have to delete the playlist and re-do it again. I wouldn't mind re-doing the playlist everytime but I have over 30GB of mp3s plus the G4 at work is USB 1.1



Any ideas? Is there a way? Thanks in advance.
