Crazy Windows Media Problem

Hi-



I've been using windows media 9 since it came out...all of sudden it stopped working. I can't get it to open any files, i can't open any .wmv files by clicking on them. And if i come across a webpage that plays a .wmv file, forget it. Wether I'm using explorer, navigator or firebird, my powerbook freezes and most of the time force quit won't work! I end up having to unplug the battery (btw, i'm stuck with Os 10.1.5). I reinstalled the program a couple of times and nothing changes.



Can anybody tell me what the heck is going on?

    delete the preferences file in each of your library folders. There should be a microsoft folder in there to go and it will say WM9 I think or somethen to that extent. Then reinstall.



    Also isn't WMP9 meant for os 10.2?

    I trashed the preference files, and then program. I reinstalled and yes, it works under 10.1.5. (for now...)
