I just came across this and thought I'd post it. It's from Griffin Technology.

<a href="http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/icurve/index.html#"; target="_blank">iCurve Invisible Laptop Stand</a>

(well it's not quite invisible - I can see it in the picture)

Looks kind of cool, anyway:

I wonder if it's got a tacky surface or something to secure the laptop...

$40 US, and shipping by the end of the summer.

(nice looking, simple site they have there)

It's nice looking, but a KoolSink ( <a href="http://www.koolsink.com"; target="_blank">http://www.koolsink.com</a>; ) is a lot more practical if you don't use an extra keyboard.. and cheaper..

That is really nice. I might get one of those. As long as they dont have some stupid way to connnect them to the stand. thanks. Of course I will also have to buy a keyboard and mouse now.

I have a Road Tools Pivot 360 ($30CAN) that works well for my iBook. Its not a heat sink but just increases the airflow under the laptop, it also swivels which is surprisingly handy. I like the look of that new stand but I dont have room at my desk to put it anywhere because of my extra bulky PC and extra bulky 7500+VCR each with their own monitor.

The pivot is a good option for iBooks but from what I hear if you have a Ti you want something a little better that can actually draw heat away from the enclosure.

    cheers

The KoolSink is nice too - but this is for more of a desktop setup I guess. Gets the display up to a nice height, similar to that of Apple's 17" and 22" Cinema Displays. A little better ergonomically than looking down at the display all day. (I know the KoolSink does raise it a little, but not that much)

That KoolSink is pretty cool too. Thanks for the linkage Robo.

I think I'll get one of those Griffin stands when I get a new laptop. Or maybe now, for the one I already have. I always liked having a full sized keyboard.

I'll buy one of those for sure I will just have to purchase the keyboard since I already have a Pro Mouse.

I tried to buy one from the source --even though they stuck a $15 shipping charge in there--and I got my confirmation, but the next day I got an out-of-stock announcement. Maybe the entire production run is in that photo, or, is sitting on the Floor at MacWorld NY
