Sneak Peek at Translucent Tiger Features
Last friday I received my copy of Microsoft Office 2004 and as soon as I installed it I noticed a new feature that seems similar to a patent Apple recently filed for traslucent windows which will mostly likely be seen in the next version of OS X "Tiger". While using Word, Excel, etc. with the formatting palette floating nearby, when you do not click the cursor it becomes translucent, which focuses your attention on the window you are using. When you roll the cursor back over it and click it becomes solid again.
While I cannot say at this point why I understand this feature is necessary, it is interesting.
