iPod IS a PDA

It knows the time.

It can do alarms.

It has your calendar.

It has your contacts.

It synchs with your Mac.



That's what my Palm is for.

    You mean Apple should introduce a new technology like handwriting recognition? And add it to the iPod to get an iPad?

    That's what the Mac is for.



    Then again, the solid state scroll wheel looks like a trackpad waiting to happen ...

    Nonsense.



    I'm supposed to carry a $400 "PDA" in my pocket, and then resort to jotting down appointments and to do items on scraps of paper until I get back to the office?



    The iPod is a great way to carry around a contacts list, but until there's a way to get info in on the road, it's useless as a PDA.
