Apple Should Forget About Canada iTMS

Service providers such as Bell Sympatico and other companies have already opened music stores. Unless Apple opens the store very soon, I see Apple getting very little attention in Canada if they do decide to open a store later this year or next year (if they ever do).

When service providers as big as Sympatico offer good deals to their own Sympatico users, I'd be surprised if they moved to iTMS.

But iTMS is all about the iPods man. Sympatico doesn't offer that "one two punch"

Ya, unless they make their service compatible with the iPod some how I will never use it. The ITMS is the only way to go IMHO. Come on Apple, bring it to Canada already. We canucks arent as backwards as you think.

Plus there is no physical brick and mortar store to build. It's more administrative and negotiations thats just required.

You'd be surprised at how many Apple users there are up here in Canada.

Sympatico just rebranded PureTracks. Rogers doesn't provide anything yet (I don't think) maybe Apple/Rogers should make a deal.

When I saw the thread title I assumed it was because downloading/uploading is currently nice and legal here so people are less likely to be guilted into paying.

Personally, I hope iTMS comes here. If not, I'll continue to happily download music.

Yup, there are more Mac users per capita in Canada than the U.S. As soon as Apple releases it, Puretracks and everything else will go straight down the toilet.

Whats happening with Napster by the way, are they still alive and kicking?

    No Apple support. Not surprised.

Come on Apple Canada...I know you don't have much of a voice, but can we see a iTMS sometime before the autumn rolls around?
