eyetv 200 and imac 20" 1.25ghz

hi i bought my eyetv 200 a few days ago and i use it on my imac 20" with 1.25ghz and 768mb ram. my problem is that my imac will now start up during day or night on an unvorseen and not programmed time by itself. the imac is fully switched off. has anybody faced the same problem or could give me a hint what to do because it is quite annoying to get up at three a clock in the morning to switch off my imac. many thanks
