A while back someone posted a website where you could buy a 512mb ram card for about $150. i did write the site down but i lost the paper. Can someone please give me the address again? thanks
If you check a site like ramseeker ( http://www.ramseeker.com/ ) you will see that lots of places sell 512 MB ram for less then $150...depending on your machine of course, you can find it for less then $80.
I hate to spoil the party, but I've had a lot of bad luck with bargain basement RAM, even if it's lifetime guaranteed. I've had to send back a piece of RAM from OtherWorldComputing twice, and the time and cost involved would have not been missed. It would have been less costly to go to crucial.com and buy from there in the long run.
But yes, if you want to take a risk, ramseeker is the place to go.
Thankyou for the websites. I will be purchasing a new ibook 700mhz in the near future, and because i will be running programs like photoshop on it i want it to be maxed on ram. I am new to the world of macs and i thought 400 for the ram card at the apple store was a bit expensive. i dont mind paying for good quality items was just looking for a better deal. thanks again, this is a great start.
