HELP! My 12" PB is making a popping sound.

This started over the last week or so. The speakers on my 12" PB will begin to make a popping sound. It pops over and over and over again. It is very annoying. Last night in class, I had all the people around me looking over to see why I was making so much noise.



Any idea how to fix this?

    does it happen when the sound is on or when the book is quiet as well?

    have you used the 'book with loud volume a significant amount of time?

    I can't seem to narrow down any real contributing factors to the cause of the pop. It happens if sound is on or mute. Once the popping starts, it can continue for another on or two pops after I close the lid on the book.



    It is a very regular pop...about once a second. it sounds like a 'tick' coming from my speakers.
