"Waiting on Local Disks"

My colleagues Mac (Quicksilver G4 + second internal hard disk) takes forever to boot up (once in a while), and it just sits at "Waiting for Local Disks".



Any ideas what's causing this? It's not the end of the world, but I said I would ask here just in case anybody knew how to fix it!

    do FSCK outlined at the top of this forum... that should solve the problem
