Calling all Barristas

I figure there are a few students, ex-students here...perhaps quite a few who may have have worked in cafe/coffee shops?

I could use some tips guys.

I just took delivery of a Gaggia TS (monster!) and whilst I'm sure I'll get the knack of making espresso soon enough I'm about 10 cups in, my head hurts and I'm starting to shake.

Anything that would reduce the number of cups 'til I reach perfection might actually save a life.
