Ashcroft's "Terrorism warning" for this summer is based on bullshit

Bullshit. In likelihood there will be one considering the hornet's next we stirred up in Iraq especially after Abu Ghraib, but they based this on as NBC put it "one guy with a fax machine." This "group" had also claimed responsibility for the Northeastern power outage! I doubt he'll be doing any terrorist attacks or is privy to such info. Gee I thought Dubya was making American "intelligence" better to make America more safe? More lies. Please everyone don't not vote, vote for Kerry even if he is a douche!

Yeah there was definitely some weird internal politics going on there. Why would Ashcroft make an announcement like that, rather than Ridge? And why would they make a big press conference announcement if they didn't even have sufficient reason to increase the threat level? Surely they can justify mauve, or at least fuchsia.

    Good News everybody!!!

After a sketchy couple of days the administration finally has all of its players reading from the same chapter (not page). John Asscroft and Tom Ridge have finally agreed that "new" intel has been uncovered but the significance of this intel is still being debated between the two. While Asscroft believes hellfire and brimsrtone is due to rain down on the masses sometime this summer, Tom takes a decided less cautious approach through the beach going months and instead is focusing on the winter holidays as a time of danger. Imagine that, they spread a summer terrorist threat into a a threat rangineg, well, from now to after January. Astonishly enough the "new" information was so hot and specific that John just had to trot it out to the public. Note, these knee-shaking revelations were not intended to draw news attention for another flop by Bush due to this weeks Presidential Press conference.

I still say they're going to "find" Osama Bin Laden around early November.

Actually I wonder if this conveys some subliminal message to the really bad guy - something along the lines of "yeah, we are scared".
