Spiffy new powerbook. FRUSTRATIONS
Just got myself a brand new G4 15' Powerbook all souped up.
when i try to burn DVD-R's in toast 6.0.3 It only gives me the options of 1 or 2 times burning. According to the roxio site this drive is supported. And in the apple tech specs it says it is a 4 time burner.
A friend has an older 1Ghz 12' powerbook with DVD burner and hers writes to this same media fine.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. or is it possible apple have cheaped me on my drive.

Faster-is-better types will really warm up to the new SuperDrive-equipped 12-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch PowerBook G4 computers. That?s because they all offer 4x DVD burning that's twice as fast as previous models.
So it should be the 4x drive. You might want to check your media to make sure that it is 4x. My wife has the new 17 pb and it burns at 4x.
