10.3.4 slows boot

Has anyone else had a problem with their Boot taking 3 times as long since updating to 10.3.4? I have a 1ghz Ti PowerBook with a gig of ram and I have two problems that have shown up:

1) much slower boot every time (3 times slower than before)

2) My lappy will occasionally boot in safe mode. This has happened twice since updating to 10.3.4.

Any ideas what this might be? Thanks in Advance.

Maybe try the bootcache fix for panther?

    See http://www.macintouch.com/panreader20.html

Try repairing permissions and repairing the disk in Disk Utility also.

I updated to 10.3.4 and I've had no problems so far. My boot speed seems the same as it did with 10.3.3.
