I do. I like it. I live only 60 miles from the place I mail them back to so I get DVDs back fast. When I lived in Chicago they got stolen out of the mail all the time.

it was a good service... but I just didn't use it enough... (I had the 2 movies at a time option...)

Yes. If you rent more than a few movies a month, do it. Our distribution center is in Denver, I believe. Yours would be in Dallas. Your turnaround would be really, really fast.

My brother has been using it, he likes it a lot, apparently they have a lot of foreign movies he otherwise wouldn't find at blockbuster.

I've used the service practically from when it came out. I can have 4 movies out for $20 a month. The service has been great all the years I've used it. It may not be the most economical, especially if I don't rent new movies for a month, but sparing me from Blockbuster and its parking lot is well worth it.

I love Netflix, my wife and I watch a lot of movies.

The movies go from my house and back very quick, If I put 2 movies in the mail monday morning I have two new ones by Thursday.

the one thing I noticed when you logged in to Netflix they don't show the newest movies, so what I do is open two browser windows one to bluckbuster.com and on to netflix.com then put all the new movies in my queue.

Someone else said they have 4 movies, but I only get 3 at a time, although I have a lot of movies in my queue.

If we're going to compare it to Blockbuster ... does Blockbuster still distribute edited movies? Or did they stop? Or do I have the wrong rental place?

Yes I understand turnaround time for me would be very fast. I believe there is a distrubution center right here in Dallas.

Thank you all for your feedback. I like the sound of Netflix..

The wife and I are really quite pleased with the service. Like I said, if you rent more than a few movies a month, it really is worth it--especially when you consider that most places have gone to a 5 Days for $5 kind of thing.

The savings in late-fees alone pay for the price of my Netflix membership. I don't know why I can't seem to get movies returned on time, but I can't. So Netflix is the ideal solution for me.

Of course, Netflix is not good for those spontaneous rental moments. But, that's what my Hollywood Video membership is for.

    Ok I'll be serious now.

Netflix is greeeeeeeeeeeeat! I've had it for over a year and the service has been steady as she goes here in Seattle.

I don't have cable and don't really miss it when football season isn't here.

Selection- Blockbuster can't hold a candle to the selection of NF. You want to watch the winners of Sundance 2003 most are probably there. Do you love documentaries? Most are there. Foreign films...most are there. My queue remains over 100 movis and I could easily hit 200. I watched the Shield seasons 1 & 2 in less than two weeks. I watched Band of Brothers in like a week and a half. I watched CSI in two weeks both sesons. Hell what do I need cable for. I remain patient and then I rip through series like nothing.

Price- Not one late fee. I kept Gods & Generals for 3 weeks before watching it!! Sure it was a waste I should have just returned it and then rerented it later but I think that typifies what people like about NF. No clock ticking.

Delivery - I've had one problem with Delivery. I've never lost a disc and the worst problem I had was a wrong disc in the sleeve. NF fixed it quickly and I was back in business.

Those that have 4 discs out for 20.00 have been grandfathered in at the previous rate. Keep it because if you quit you won't get that back. I'm seriously thinking about moving to 5 discs out at once. I do watch that many movies.

Here would be my ideal setup for entertainment.

Comcast Basic Cable- $12 per month

    HBO Ala Carte- $15

    Netflix 5- $34

That's $61 per month for the basics plus HBO and all the DVD flicks I can burn through. I'll probably move to this sometime this year.

This is why I love AppleInsider.

I never would have considered Netflix until now. Sadly, it costs a bit much for a college student, so I tried unsuccessfully to get my parents to splurge on it. I guess they enjoy the spontaneity of Blockbuster more than the HUGE selection of Netflix. I'll work on it.

I found that on Netflix, although they market it as "no late fees," I returned them much quicker than I would for Blockbuster. I never, ever, let Netflix movies sit around the house. There's pressure to have quick turnaround, because the more you rent, the better the deal.

I was a member until a month or so ago when I heard they were going to raise prices. I had been a member for about 9 months I think. I stopped mainly because I normally rent only once or twice a month, and the price increase was just enough to push me over to quitting. Also my ship time in Montana (I believe it comes in from Denver or maybe Seattle) was two days rather than one as it is for most people.

If you rent something like 6 movies from Blockbuster (with their $5 for 5 days thing), that's a month's worth of rentals from netflix.
