grc.com vs Symantec Security Scan...

I just ran the security scans on these web sites, and I was a little surprised to see that although the grc.com 'Shields Up' scan reported that all my ports were stealthed, Symantec reported that ports 'ICMP Ping' and 80 were open for all to see. I had always thought that having a router for sharing my cable modem connection meant that the computers attached to it would be protected by the firewall capabilities of the router (Linksys BEFSR41)...



Is the Symantec one right, or are they just trying to get me to buy their firewall software?
