Duplicate Panther start-up DVD
Situation: I recently bought an iBook (12", 1GHz). I am using it at work and at home ("mobile" computer...). The iBook came with 2 "Software Install and Restore" DVDs, of which DVD#1 can be also used to start up the machine (on the DVD, it says: "To start up from Mac OS X on this DVD, hold down the C key as the computer starts up").
Now, I would like to be able to run "Repair Privileges" (when I need to) BOTH at work and at home. Therefore, I would need to duplicate this DVD#1.
Question: How do I do this? I have a "Super-Drive" PC at work, with some "Nero" burning software.
Should I make a "Disk image" on my iBook (How exactly?)? Can I burn such a "Disk image" onto DVD on my PC? On a related note: I noticed that I have iDVD on my iBook - so there I would need to proceed similarly (burn the DVD on the PC).
(Not exactly Mac-related, I know, but I guess some people here could be both Mac- and PC-"Experts")
I tried to "duplicate" the DVD on the PC with "Nero", but with no success (I tried on a DVD-RW disc to test it).
Thanks for any suggestions/hints.

You can run Repair Privileges from the boot volume so you have no need to duplicate the DVD.

Can I? I was under the impression that you can't repair privileges from your start-up volume. (At least that's what my wife does on HER iBook - 500MHz Dual USB - where she inserts her Panther CD and starts it up from there)
Anyway, I will try as you suggested.
