I presume this is for Genius Bar, but anyway... What is the software exactly? Do you now use Mac OS 10.3.x? How does it fail to work (unexpectedly quits, doesn't launch or is buggy/unusable)? If it crashes, what do crash logs say? Did you look in Console for error messages?

Well, this means a memory access error (the app tried to access an invalid location in RAM). I'm afraid it's very application-specific sort of error. Seeing that you still use Jaguar after a clean install (you mean Mac OS X clean install, right?), the error is unlikely to be caused by corrupt preferences files. Do you use the latest version of Spark XL (as fas as I can tell, 2.8.2)? Did you install any 3rd party plug-ins? Did you repair permissions with Disk Utility?

For better support, I recommend you visit TC Works support site. I hope you'll find better answers there.

    Hi!

Thank's for your help... i will contact TC!

Can it be memory problems to? What tipic erros are from bad memory?

I install some plugin's... hum, i gone try a differente way... clean all the app's and try to install again without any 3rd party soft...

By the way... were can i find the answer for the log's error's, to understand myself the error?

If you have successfully run the same software (including the OS version) on the same hardware without upgrading RAM, it's highly unlikely. The only exception I know is that some RAM modules that worked fine with Jaguar (10.2.x) cause errors with Panther (10.3.x). The most typical error resulting from failing RAM is a so-called kernel panic. Mac OS X presents it as a multi-language note that you must shut down/restart your computer.

I have never really used Spark XL (only played with a demo for an hour), so I can't tell you the exact how-to, but there must be an easy straightforward way to remove its plug-ins. Most apps that use plug-ins look for them only in certain directories (for example, Photoshop loads its plug-ins from the Plug-Ins folder in the same directory as the application itself). To remove/disable a plug-in it's often enough to drag it out of the plug-in folder.

Since plug-ins are loaded in the application memory space, they can crash the app easily. Removing/disabling plug-ins is a general trouble-shooting technique.

It's often impossible to decipher crash logs without having source code. You can take a look here. The article has some tips.

Have you tried logging under a new user account to see if it works from there? (would then indicate something is corrupt in the old user Library)
