Wallstreet batter problem

I've still been using my old G3 Wallstreet. However, on a recent trip I was running on batteries until they went low. I plugged in the power cord and the computer kept right on going. It won't however charge either one of my batteries. I've tried restarting and taking the batteries in and out. The computer recognizes if the battery is installed or not, but it refuses to charge it. Any ideas on how to reclaim my Wallstreet batteries, or this going to be my excuse to buy a new Al book?

    There is an Apple Wallstreet battery reset program out there. Try it; if it doesn't work, treat yourself to an AlBook.
