resetting ipod

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
is resetting it good enough to clean it up or is there a way to reformat/erase songs from hd. my ipod has been skipping songs and i want to be good as new.

    Download and install the latest iPod Updater. When you open the updater, plug in your iPod and select Restore.



    (I think that's right. I didn't actually look. Oh, and this should probably go in GB.)

    software restore will do the trick.
