Macs and DRM

I'm a subscriber to a web based TV Station where I can stream all the contents in either Windows Media Player or RealAudio formats. Downloading contents is for Windows users only! Totally unacceptable IMO as I have to pay the same subscription fee. My question is, is there any similar solution available for the Mac platform?

I fully understand they want to protect their material, I'm just surpriced if this can't be done for our platform. Is DRM available for UNIX? Or will we see DRM support in the next release of WMP?

Nobody know anything about this issue? Is DRM really the only solution for service providers to protect their material? If so, the Mac platform has a problem to address

DRM is a problem, not a solution. Read Doctorow's argument that is linked on the top. There are mistakes there, but most of it is good stuff.

Also, search for "truth-in-DRM" from that Slashdot page to see what great functionality the MS DRM enabled PC's have.

There is no problems using DRM on a Mac - iTMS uses DRM.

It's just that MS (as usual) released a Mac version of their app with less features than the Windows version.
