im thinkin of gettin a 15' powerbook for college. Will the prices go down after WWDC ?

oh and also, will there be a huge difference between getting 1.33ghz vs 1.5ghz g4 15' PB? thats worth the money to get the 1.5 over the 1.33

    dont expect price cuts.

as far as 1.5 vs 1.33.....i always look at laptops (powerbooks) this way. get the most you can afford of things that cant be upgraded. powerbooks, the processor cant be upgraded, so, id go for the 1.5 and it may get you a couple more months/year than the 1.33 would in the long run.

Apple doesn't do price cuts, but they will run promotions for near end-of-life items.

Personally, I'm going to wait for the next revision of Powerbooks. Granted, I'm not in a position where I really need one. But here's a story for you:

Rewind to summer 2000. The Pismo 500's were the hottest laptops out there, but I didn't want a G3, and there was all this talk about the "Mercury." When they were finally announced at MWSF as the PBG4, I went and bought one ASAP. A hacked-up PM7500 got me through the first couple of months of freshman year, but it was definitely worth holding off.

Now, I don't think the G5's are around the corner by any means, so if I were you I wouldn't play the waiting game. Pick up a PB in August, whatever's out there. The 15" is a good size for school.
