'Defending a lead' seems counterproductive strategy the more I see of it.
The Trap makes Hockey boring to watch.
Best defense is a good offense. (that's our three sport reference limit)
And Beckham sucks at penalty shots the way Gretzky sucks at penalty shots.
'Superstar" status or skill in certain situations doesn't always translate to grace under all pressures.
England up 1-0, I flashed to the opening France game... don't sit back boys... attack.
Deja vu... sitting back for 80 minutes+... Becks blows a gift.... aaaand they lose. Again.
Don't these guys watch game film and learn lessons?
As for the French... didn't seem to have the fire or jump. Greeks deserved the win.
Some of the calls have been iffy, and England may have lost a few decisions that might have changed the outcome, but the same could be said for several of the other games, and the total number of missed calls has been pretty low.
If the Greeks go on, it might be the best thing for the Olympics. Get the country energized.
The Swedes, Czechs and Dutch have all been entertaining.
