iChat Loading Slow

Hey my cousin got a new eMac (the lowest end) and all his programs load up in fast speeds except for one. For some reason iChat takes a very long time to load up, like around 15-20 seconds. He installed AIM for mac and it is fine. Anyone else have this or know how to fix this thanks.

    I've seen that behavior on many but not all macs and have yet to determine the cause.



    One guess is that it has something to do with connecting to the AIM servers. The real AIM client uses a different protocol so a comparison isn't too useful.



    Anyone know for sure?
