English tabloids turn crazy
Meier disallowed Sol Campbell's header in England's loss to Portugal and has since been vilified in some newspapers.
Some English newspapers published Meier's telephone number and email address after he disallowed Campbell's header in the dying minutes of England's quarter-final defeat to Portugal. Since the phone has been ringing constantly all day and night. The email is blocked, the office is blocked. He recieved ton of insults.
The tabloids sent their journalist to go into his private life, to show his wife, his car and put an England flag on his house who is surrendered by a huge crowd of journalists.
This is unnaceptable , such behaviors must be stop. Tabloids are one of the worse form of press in the world.

British tabloids are the pinnacle for respectable journalism. They are beyond reproach.
(But the flag thing was pretty funny).

"Turn" crazy? The English tabloids have always been some of the world's worst "gutterpress". "The Sun probably takes the prize for being the worst of that awful batch. Incidentally, they've been the target of more lawsuits than many people have had hot dinners. Not surprisingly, such a garbage tabloid is owned by none other than Rupert Murdoch himself. YUK!
You are right, It was just a title. I don't wait anything good from this type of press, but they broke a new line with this one.
"Sir Paul had his own loo brought in for festival."
If they would stick to goofy crap like this or Weekly World News style over the top-ness I wouldn't mind tabloids.

The newspaper should be sued for this.
