Updating SuperDrive firmware - how?
I bought an 8X Pioneer DVR-107D, and unfortunatley it was the dreaded "DVD RW" variant rather than the more common "DVD-RW" variant.
I don't have access to a PC to flash the firmware, but I read on www.xlr8yourmac.com that there is now an OS X native flasher that allows you to update the firmware.
So I've downloaded the flasher, and unstuffed it, but when I double click on any of the icons it simply comes up with a tiny little window that features a close button and nothing else?
Am I missing something here? I tried the linked notes, but it was just a bunch of people saying how great the flasher was and how it worked perfectly first time? There are no instructions?
Has anybody tried this? And can you tell me how you actually do it?
