Getting rid of "Open With" duplicates?

Over time I've accumulated duplicates in this menu... I'm always hopping between different apps to edit images so every time I want to open something I have to sift through three copies of Flash and two copies of Photoshop. I've looked everywhere and can't find the file where this info is stored... anyone familiar with this?

    In Terminal window run the following (sorry not my fault that it's this long!):

    /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user



    It fixed the issue for me! I think I picked this one up somewhere in the Apple Discussion groups or throgh Developer support.
