Safari troubles

I can't seem to load the Java 1.4.2 update. Says that I need the previous version of 1.4.1 and when I try and load that an error occurs.



I also can't open gmail.google.com. The page is just stays blank.



The one thing that I don't like about Safari is that I can't use all the features of ESPN.com, like the movies that they have on it. Any idea if and when safari will start to work with it?

    Correction. I loaded Java 1.4.1 no problem. But when I go to load the latest 1.4.2 it says that I must load 1.4.1 first. What is up with this?



    Any ideas?

    I just updated from Jag to Panther.

    And how cool is iChat with iSight?
