Q&A's on old 15 and new 12 inch PowerBooks
i do many things with my mac (developing,programming,producing,photo/video&audio editting/production/3danimation etcetc) so i like to upgrade as soon as i have the money too
right now i have a (perfect pixels)15 inch powerbook with 512mb RAM,a 40GB harddrive, around 1ghz, dvd/cd-r/cd-rw drive, mac osx 10.3.3 copys all original cd's,instruction manual/stickers rebates all perfect conditions in plastic, airport wireless, latest iLife,Itunes,etc everything updated to date, A LOT of software/apps, in pretty much good condition except for the chipping paint by the hinges.
how much do you all think i could sell that for?

i see no line out, what if i want to do serious audio work lets say surround sound editting or something, whats the best way for getting a "soundcardtype thing"? is this what the firewire could be used for? an amplifier? if so which r the best for serious audio engineering/production/etc
finally, would i need to buy anything extra to be able to have my PB open and be able to use both my windows lcd monitor and my PB lcd as dual monitoring? more work space?

Without commenting on which ones might be scams, eBay is useful for ballpark price estimates

uh... the PBs (Ti15 1GHz and Al12) have .25inch audio in and line out jacks.
plenty of sources note this detail in their reviews.
iBooks lacked an audio in jack for some time, hence the market for USB/Firewire audio input for 'Books, but the output part seems to meet the spec you're asking about... unless I'm confused.
If you really want to move up the audio food chain, check MarkOfTheUnicorn for rackmount gear or maybe Griffin or read some specialist audio sites. Others might be able to recommend particular hardware that they've used.

DVI to VGA adapters are available if your LCD doesn't support DVI,
and should have shipped with your PB, IIRC.
