Will iPod work under OS 9.2?

The header says it all. I've just bought a 20Gb iPod, which mainly I'll be using for interviews, and I'd like to be able to use it with my ancient Powerbook (OS 9 only) as well as my newish iBook (which has OS 9 and OS X).



Is it possible to run it with iTunes on OS 9.2? If so, how? (Skill level: extreme novice!)

    I don't think the audio storage part will work with itunes, but pretty sure that the data storage side of the ipod will work.
