the frys experience

just picked up a 12" ibook

from frys in san diego @aero drive

good service & a very nice 15 day return policy

no questions asked

luckily all pixels are intact & the ibook runs great

just added 512mb more which shows as 256mb

so im off to frys to return it & test the ram

so if anyone apart from is concerned about 1 or dead

pixels then frys is a good place to pick up stuff

hope this helps

swapped the geil ram for a kinston 512mb module

12" ibook is now at 768mb

    exchange was quick & painless.

I had similar problems with K-byte memory, ended up exchanging for Kingston as well. Guess it's worth the extra $20 for some good quality RAM! Enjoy the upgrade!

Congrats on the purchase. I am enjoying my 12-inch ibook, and I'm sure you will too.

Quick question, what did you use to check the pixels? Isn't there a software program you can run to ensure all the pixels are working? Thanks for the help.
