Hi i'm going to get a new dual 867Mhz powermac next week but see that the ram prices are cheaper else where, but i don't want to get DDR ram from PC shops that will stuff up my new Mac. I know it's 2100 but i need more info so i'm sure i'm getting the right one as there are small things that can stuff up any mac becuase the V is not the same.....

Are these 2100 ram chips 2.5V? i need all of the info and what i should do and what i should stay away from...

I'm looking to get Kingston only ram as it looks like a brand that works.....am i wrong? Tell me all.

Thanks all

If you want a little more quality and a better warranty - don't buy generic.

A dirty little secret of the RAM world is that there are very few companies that actually manufacture RAM -- most just repackage it and sell it. Some companies do additional testing on said RAM to ensure that it works well, but in the end, you're probably getting the exact same thing no matter whom you buy it from.
