Cant modifie Applications Folder

When i try to add an application the my applications folder i get the "applications cannot be modified" message. If i get info on the application folder, it shows "read only" status in the light gray text. im sure this is a simple fix. Thanks in advance.



Oh, and im running panther.

    Wild shot - you were loged in without admin privileges? Had no permission to use that particular app? Make me know it
