POWER performance
Ace's Hardware posted recently Spec benchmarks for the new POWER5 processors. Quite impressive benchmarks.
Now someone
here said that Apple should release somewhere in time Power Macs sporting some derivative of this POWER 5 processor. In view of these benchmarks, could anyone speculate on the performance gains (with respect to the current G5) in a POWER 5 derived Power Mac? Of course, at this point we don't know what the POWER 5 derivative will be exactly, but I think some of you here could extrapolate from the known analogies between POWER 4 and G5.
