I have 3 macs that are network at home, but can't get iPhoto and iTune to share. I can connect to the computers and share files but somehow iPhoto and iTune are not seeing them.
So, wait... you have two DSL modems? One with an ethernet connection and one with a USB connection? I've never heard of anyone using more than one DSL modem on the same line (and I don't think it should work) but I suppose it might be possible. Are you sure you don't have a router or hub in there somewhere?
If you are using two modems, Rendezvous sharing won't work... to work you need to be on the same local network. In other words, your computers need to be able to talk to eachother before they go to the outside world through the DSL modem(s).
One way to do this would be with a Ethernet router. Connect your DSL modem to the router instead of the main computer, and then use ethernet (or wireless connection) to connect the router to the computers. Now the computers can communicate directly to each other through the hub that's built into the router. Rendezvous now finds the other computers automatically and it's a piece of cake from there.

perhaps

I have a DSL modem with Ethernet on the main computer and USB devices for the others for the network
But how are they networked? The main computer has:
computer -> ethernet ->DSL modem -> phone line -> wall
like that?
Are the USB devices plugged into the DSL modem or a router or just the wall?
cpu > ethernet > DSL modem > phone line > wall
the other computer
cpu > USB > USB device > phone line > wall

Ok, well the problem is that they aren't on the same network, so they can't see each other over rendezvous. You'd need something like this:
cpu1 > ethernet \\
router > DSL modem > phone line > wall
cpu2 > ethernet /
