dp 450 + og Cinema display = blank screen?

I scored a dp 450 (mystic) from work yesterday. But when I try and hook it up to my 20" cinema display, all I get is the opening grey screen with apple logo and spinning deal, then black.



Any idea what the deal is?



Display works perfect on other computers, computer works fine with a crt.

    The video card in that Power Mac may not be able to drive the resolution of the 20-inch display. There's a minimum requirement of the Radeon 7500 or better, and I believe the dual-450s had just a 16MB GPU stock. You can easily (and inexpensively) upgrade the graphics card and you should be okay, and there are other benefits in doing that as well.



    Also, I believe you need to be running OS X 10.2.8 or better.

    Yeah, that's what I've found. I saw a card for around $150, which is a little bit more than I'd like to spend on this box, seeing as it's a temp fix before I get a G5.



    I'll just connect to a crt and be happy I guess.
