Once upon a time, I remember being able to configure a Powermac with an Airport card to function as a base station. What ever happened to that capablity. I see it was available for OS 9 and gone with OS X. Why? Is there a workaround?
It works in OS X as well. Just go to System Preferences --> Sharing --> Internet, and start internet sharing. Of course you have to select which connection to share (for example Built-in Ethernet) and share it thru Airport. Also there is a button for AirPort Options, where you can set up your 'Software Basestation'.
