Go to <a href="http://www.sonyisstorage.com/"; target="_blank">http://www.sonyisstorage.com/</a>; and enter "CMR-PC2" in the search box in the left column. You will find the webcam that drewpops was talking about. (Was that so difficult?)

Personally, I think the <a href="http://www.irez.com/"; target="_blank">iRez Kritter</a> is still by far the coolest webcam design, especially for a PowerBook or iBook.

I just love the way the Kritter clips onto a laptop's screen, but can also fold up to protect its lens. The Kritter's design is simple and sophisticaed, and it looks way cooler than the Sony cam.

    It's not even FireWire.

Sorry for the invalid session, thanks for covering for me Escher. And I agree that the Kritter is neat-o and that firewire is better.

Did you even bother visiting the iRez website? Of course not, otherwise you would have found the <a href="http://www.irez.com/products/kritterdigital.html"; target="_blank">Kritter Digital</a>, the FireWire version of the Kritter.

What is it with all these trolls jumping to conclusions because we don't serve them every deep URL on a silver platter?

BTW: You can remove the lead base of the wand accessory and attach the arm directly to the top of a CRT iMac. Another great feature of the Kritter. Only thing I don't like about the Kritter is its price.

    I think he/she was refering to the Sony camera... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

    It is USB only.

Yea, what's up with the price of the Kritter Digital? $250? That's double the cost of iRez' other Firewire webcam (StealthFire).

I really like the iRez USB camera, but it doesn't work with Mac OS X, so I won't buy it. I see that the FireWire version will work with Jaguar, but what's up with the USB version?

I really think FireWire is overkill for a webcam and a 56Kbps connection. Don't get me started on the price.

Someone should REALLY try to design something better than those spider-looking ones.

    Hmm...
