Bell South is blocking my e-mail

I just got DSL hook up from Bell South and found out that they won't let me send e-mail through any of my other mail accounts.

Bell South told me to just switch all my e-mail accounts to use their SMTP server, but I'm using a powerbook and bounce back and forth to different ISPs throughout the week -- I'm not going to spend all my time changing SMTP settings for my 11 POP accounts.

All I want to legally send e-mail through the mail servers that I normally use but Bell South is blocking port 25 so I can't. This sucks.

The short term blocking of a port do to an attack I can understand, but ISPs should not be allowed to permanently block the fundamental ports used in internet communication. It's just wrong.

Apart from trying to get a refund for your installation, I can't think of another solution. Maybe you can take them to court over this, but I don't know if you can make a case.

p>s> If you want to play nice. You could try to use the 'reply-to' field in your email settings and use Bell South's smtp server. At least your replies will still be grouped in the correct mailbox.
