Future remote for current Airport Express models?
I think one of the main "limitations" that have been assessed against the Airport Express is the lack of a remote control.
Would I be safe ordering a current Airport Express with the desire and hope that a remote control will be available for it sometime in the "future?"
Or if I think I want a remote control that badly, should I wait or go with another machine?

I'm currently using my Sony-Ericsson T616 Bluetooth phone, loaded with Salling Clicker software as a remote for iTunes with my Airport Express. It works well, but is limited in range to about 30 feet. You can select and advance through playlists, adjust volume, and search for songs via song title or artist name. Current song playing is displayed on the phone's screen. In my apartment, this meets my needs for a remote. Perhaps it will meet yours, too?
Ciao!

Thanks for the post and the creative idea. Is your bluetooth connection with the Airport Express or with your computer?
I've got the sony erricson t630 with salling clicker. It rocks. The T900 with symbian will display the album art.
It is a great solution. Really stable and works at a distance without a hiccup.
Bluetooth is to the computer which is streaming the songs to the airport express.
Flawless.

The Bluetooth connection is between the phone and the computer. Typically, Bluetooth has a range in the neighborhood of about 30 feet, so it may not be a great solution for a computer sitting clear across the house, but from the next room should work nicely. If you don't have a Bluetooth enabled computer, a simple USB to Bluetooth adapter will address that for around $35 to $50.
Here's one for $189.95
