Powerbook LED doesn't blink

Hi

I have a 12" Powerbook, just purchased a few weeks ago. It dawned on me today that the LED doesn't blink/pulse. I have an iBook as well. From what I've read, it's supposed to pulse, similar to the iBook, when it's asleep. Any ideas - is there a setting somewhere or is it broke? Thanks.

Is it a constant light, or is it not lit at all? (We're talking about the light on the latch, right?)

Did you actually put it asleep (by selecting it from the Apple menu or pressing the power button), or did you close the laptop? I think there's a setting that dictates whether the laptop sleeps when it's shut.

    Just guessing. I don't have a laptop, so I can't really help.

Thanks for the reply. Yes - the LED on the power latch.

I've tried both closing the lid and selecting sleep from the Apple menu. Neither one works.

Eh, that problem is better to have than a messed up screen or finnicky latch.
