I keep getting this message when I start up after upgrading the system software:

Norton's Utilities has detected a new version of Mac OS, you need to update your Norton system-works components.

I ran the un installer months ago, deleted everything a search would find relating to Norton's and I still get this crap.

Any ideas?

I also see that Auto Protect is still listed in the system prefs.

I have searched everywhere for the files, but cannot find this D-M thing anywhere?

I think the story was (from memory) that sometimes the uninstaller doesn't remove files Norton has installed at the system level. There were a few files you had to remove through Terminal. See #'s 16-20 in the second link. Uninstall NU (files to trash) and Begone!.
